#AskBlockone: Any suggestions for coming up to speed on the code quickly?

@phonebanshee asked #AskBlockone: Any suggestions for coming up to speed on the code quickly? Docs that you use for onboarding new devs would be the sort of thing I’m after — other than just git clone + start reading 🙂

Currently, we have a useful wiki that’s located in the primary EOSIO repository; it can be found here. The wiki has detailed instructions for compiling the EOSIO blockchain software, a Hello World smart contract and more detailed tutorials. There is also a growing Q&A community resource on StackExchange and the most recent version of the Technical White Paperreleased on GitHub. Right now we are also working to put together a more robust Developer Portal — that’s planned for release in early May. The Developer Portal will have in-depth guides and tutorials as well as higher level documentation for every component of EOSIO, helping developers get familiarized with our platform even if they haven’t been exposed to it previously. That said, jumping in to the code and playing around is always a good idea!
